I am going to go out a limb here and say the recording you are going to access at the end of this article is the most influential audio recording in the history of the personal development movement.

I have been an entrepreneur all my life. There was a time very early in my career when I managed an office of insurance agents. We sold health insurance to self-employed people. I enjoyed it because I loved hearing the stories of how entrepreneurs started and grew their businesses.

Twenty-five years ago I would predict that at least 1/2 of self-made entrepreneurs were heavy into personal development. Nearly everyone I met had a copy of Earl Nightingale’s cassette tape called the Strangest Secret. Some had the original LP Album. I personally listened to the Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale hundreds of times early in my career.

Years later, I can almost recite the recording word-by-word because repetition is the mother of learning. Coaching many entrepreneurs over the past ten or fifteen years I have been shocked at the number who have never heard of Earl Nightingale or the Strangest Secret recording.
